Logo and branding
All Ears is a newly started charity helping people with hearing problems. They want to reach out to people through online interactive ratings of both places and gadgets that can help people in their everyday lives.
Initially all that was required was a logo that is based on the shape of an ear for the E. The stars came about because one important aspect of the charity is a rate and review tool, which allows people to give a star rating to various services i.e. hearing loops in buildings across the country.
The website came next. The colours make the site easy to read as well as offer broad appeal to a general audience. The red added a spark of excitement to the palette.
The style of the graphics and illustrations throughout the site is loose and playful. They depict common situations that people with hearing difficulties might find themselves in and also the gadgets they might find useful.
The website required a system for users to be able to rate, review and add different venues. Once their suggested venue or their review has been published the system automatically sends out a confirmation email.
The system was also designed to let administrators get updates via email when they have a review awaiting moderation or a venue that needs to be checked before publishing. The admin will then log in to the system and from here they can moderate, edit, review and also maintain the rest of the website through the CMS.
The website is responsive and looks just as good on your phone or tablet as on your big computer screen. And most importantly it is just as easy to use on a small screen as on a large one.
